'Throw Me a Bone' was originally written as a joke over a year ago in a state of spite. Fueled by frustration, the lyrics to an acoustic demo were later rearranged over a summery, dance-pop beat. The taunting, cynical lyricism is disguised by the free and fun nature of the instrumentation, which later escalates into what we believe creates a gratifying and passionate ending. Almost initially discarded as an unusable voice memo, 'Throw Me a Bone' evolved into an electropop earworm over the course of a year, luring in listeners with it's easygoing instrumentation, but maintaining the emotionally-driven lyrics that bring the song to it's explosive close.
